Beware of the SEO Scammers
Black Hat Techniques that Could Backfire
There are countless of SEO scammers that claim they can provide effective and legitimate search engine optimization and marketing services for your website. They may promise to submit your site to thousands of search engines world-wide (as if this alone would give any site rankings!), promising you first page rankings for Google and other major search engines.
Other search engine optimization scammers create temporary "doorway pages" that reside off your website server, hosted on their own, and these doorway pages will redirect traffic to your website, and once you stop paying, the firm pulls the plug on the doorway pages and your traffic drops off completely because your actual website was never optimized, as it should have been.
Some will promise first page rankings on Google, Yahoo, BING and other search engines for irrelevant easy-to-get keyphrases that will not drive traffic to your website. Needless to say, these keyphrases will mean very little and have even less relevance to you and your business.
These are just a few of the scams that unprofessional search engine firms out there might use.
